Christian Marclay's 'The Clock' has been awarded the Venice Biennale's Golden Lion award, (LA Times ), which seems more than justified for what is clearly a contemporary masterpiece. The Clock is compelling as art and as cinema and useful, I found, as a time-keeping device. [ The Guardian ] "The Clock" is an art installation piece that uses snippets from films and television to keep real 24-hour time, has been acquired this year by the L.A. County Museum of Art .
