#Listening to RED Trio's debut CD on Clean Feed
Red is an extreme tone, the chromatic colour resembling the hue of blood. Extreme, because our eyes capture red on the longest wavelengths of light discernible by the human vision. For longer wavelengths we are below red and our naked eyes are unable to see anything. The music played by the portuguese RED trio can have this dual behavior. Organic, like the vital fluid running on our veins, it can supply substance for a wide range of sensations. At the same time it's extremely free. Free improvisation, as free music and all art forms should be. Free ideas, free speech. From near silence to full noise, a wide spectrum of aural emotions. Rodrigo Pinheiro (piano), Hernani Faustino (double bass), Gabriel Ferrandini (drums) will play live at Jazz em Agosto festival, next Saturday 14th of August .
