David Bowie - Love Is Lost (Hello Steve Reich Mix by James Murphy)

This is pure clapping music . Thumbs up Mr. James Murphy. Thumbs ups Mr. David Bowie! Yes, Love is Lost and Steve Reich should prepare a City Life version with Heroes from the XXI Century. Repeat after me "Oh what have you done?". Oh what have you done? Listen carefully. Again and again. Single of the year.

Clap your hands and say... yeah! Steve Reich & David Cossin performing Clapping Music

Steve Reich music at RUC

Steve Reich has been awarded with the 2009 Pulitzer Prize in Music for his most recent music. During the next week, CCB in Lisbon hosts two of the most distinguished Portuguese percussion ambassadors: the Drumming - celebrating their 10th anniversary - and Pedro Carneiro, proposing a percussion marathon. Taking these two inputs we will broadcast tonight, 10-12pm at RUC, 107.9FM Coimbra, excerpts of two major Reich's works : Drumming and City Life . The american composer Steve Reich was justifiably called by The New York Times  a "Sturdy Musical Bridge" that links the now old XX century to today's music creation.  A good opportunity to confirm the thesis, tomorrow night @Ruc with live webcast here  www.ruc.pt .
