#cage100: - John Cage - Roaratorio (1979)

Searching for silence. Playing with noise. One century of John Cage.

Today is a big day. John Cage was born 100 years ago , September 5th, 1912. "He may have surpassed Stravinsky as the most widely cited, the most famous and/or notorious, of twentieth-century composers." ( Alex Ross ) Indeed. But the world is not yet paying attention to many of Cage’s advices: "If something is boring after two minutes, try it for four. If still boring, then eight. Then sixteen. Then thirty-two. Eventually one discovers that it is not boring at all." Happy Birthday, Mr. John Cage! We will keep on searching for silence and playing with noise. John Cage Recital? Take the A Train
