Peter Evans at Jazz em Agosto
American trumpeter Peter Evans will return to Jazz em Agosto to play with together with Evan Parker's Electro-Acoustic Ensemble. Peter Evans played a memorable solo on the last year edition of the festival, followed by a great show with his own quartet: Peter Evans (trumpet, piccolo trumpet), Ricardo Gallo (piano), Tom Blancarte (double bass), Kevin Shea (drums). Live in Lisbon was released by Clean Feed on the Jazz em Agosto Series, a collection of live recordings made during Gulbenkian’s festival.
Last May, Peter Evans was at Culturgest and at Jazz ao Centro Festival with Moppa Elliott’s Mostly Other People Do the Killing. In Coimbra, this prodigious player did also a solo concert.
