Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti speak to frieze from their studio about 'Desertshore / The Final Report', a new double album made in collaboration with the late Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson. It comprises a song-by-song cover of Nico’s 1970 album 'Desertshore' – with contributions from guest vocalists Marc Almond, Antony, Blixa Bargeld, Sasha Gray and Gaspar Noé – along with the final sessions produced by Carter, Christopherson and Tutti.

When the first photographers adopted the still life genre, they inherited a visual tradition established in centuries of painting. It is a tradition full of lavish, exotic and sometimes dark arrangements that are rich with symbolic depth and meaning.
